There is currently legislation in the works for land purchases and exchanges. In that bargaining agreement, there are two connectors proposed. One would connect the back of Spanish Springs to Lemmon Valley, going through Hungry Valley.
The second proposed connector would be the Sparks area to the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC). There are currently three possibilities for this connector, (1) from the end of La Posada (2) from the Golden Eagle ballpark and (3) from the top of Los Altos. I am personally hoping that option 3 is a no go. I don’t think that loop is cut out to handle that kind of traffic.
Studies have shown, this alternative connection to TRIC could take as many as 37,000 cars off the Sparks feeder roads, such as Vista and Sparks Blvd.
