- Have your statement in hand when you call, so your account number is readily available.
- Be prepared for long wait.
- Ask them if your loan is eligible for a payment plan, a forbearance, or what programs they have available for hardship due to Corona Virus.
- Ask Questions!
- How long with the process take?
- When will your next payment be due?
- Will there be fees?
- Will this negatively impact your credit?
- Will you be accruing interest?
Take notes on who you talk to and find out when you will have something in writing.
