Reno is truly a great place to live, a great place to raise a family. It’s not too big (yet), not too small; we have all 4 seasons. There are two big lakes nearby, specifically Tahoe and Pyramid and many small ones. You can get outside to ski, ride bikes, walk, float the river, enjoy water sports, snow sports, dirt toys and be close enough to town to come in and attend an event, a show or a concert. We have the city amenities with some small town culture.
Aside from small commute times, recreation and the love we have for the UNR Wolfpack, I can tell you from personal experience that this place is all heart; this community protects their own. Our kids were involved in accidents and the outpouring of support we had during the months of recovery were indescribable. We love it here!
