HIKING

Whether you’re looking for a paved path or remote destination wilderness, Reno and Tahoe have a lot of options for hiking with some incredible scenery.

HIKING TRAILS IN RENO

Reno offers so much terrain.  There are places all over town to get out and spend some time in the hills.  Some of the popular trails include: Hunter Creek Trail which will take you to a hidden waterfall. Other popular hikes, in town, include Huffaker Hills, which offers some great city views, or hike to the ‘N’ located in Rancho San Rafael Regional ParkGalena Creek Regional Park is another popular area in South Reno.  Hikes range from 2 to 9.2 miles.

LAKE TAHOE HIKING TRAILS

One popular trail near Lake Tahoe is the Mount Rose Trail .  It is a near 10 mile round-trip hike, but the view from the top makes it worth it!   Other popular Tahoe hikes include the Tunnel Creek Trail and Spooner Lake to Marlene Lake, and Eagle Lake.
